HANDWASHING HOW-TO
Washing your hands is always an important part of your ongoing daily hygiene but it’s especially important in light of the current global crisis.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends regular and thorough washing of your hands with soap and water or cleaning them with an alcohol-based hand sanitiser, which will help kill viruses that may be on your hands.
Use Germex Hygiene Soap or Liquid Hand Wash and follow the below washing steps for 20 seconds to make sure you stay safe:
- Wet hands with water
- Apply enough soap to cover both hands
- Rub palms together
- Rub the back of each hand with the palm of the other with interlaced fingers
- Rub hands palm to palm with fingers interlaced
- Interlock hands with fingers curling into the opposite palm and rub backs of fingers
- Grab around thumb with other hand and rub in a twisting motion
- Try and rub under your finger nails with the palm of your other hand
- Rinse hands with water
- Dry hands thoroughly with a single use towel Use towel to turn off tap
