Sydwell – an entrepreneur’s story

23 August 2012

A man with only dreams of running his own business, Sydwell was really struggling to make ends meet. Fortunately for him, his local SPAR recognised his entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to succeed.

With a fondness for plants, Sydwell wanted to start a nursery and SPAR helped by allowing him to occupy an unused island in the centre of their car park. After a short while, Sydwell’s initiative and drive to make things work proved true as his business continued to grow. Sydwell’s nursery quickly became popular and was frequented by SPAR’s customers, and Sydwell came to be known as part of the SPAR family.

It was through SPAR’s belief of helping their communities by giving them a hand up that Sydwell was able to build a sustaining business and support his family.
