Mixed Fruit Kebabs Recipe

Serve chilled for breakfast with plain, low fat yoghurt or as a healthy dessert with some low fat evaporated milk.

Recipe Ingredients

  • SPAR Good Living Bamboo Skewers
Any mix of Freshline fruit for example:
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 medium papaya
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 large pineapple

(or use strawberries, naartjie segments, green apple or large grapes)

Recipe Method

  1.  Remove the skin from pineapple, bananas and papaya.  Wash all fruit which is to be used with the skin e.g. apples/berries/grapes
  2. Cut fruit into square chunks, but if fruit such as strawberries or grapes are used then cut off the stalks and keep these whole if these are used.
  3. Push the fruit onto skewers, alternating the colours.
  4. Serve chilled for breakfast with plain low fat yoghurt, or as a healthy dessert with low fat evaporated milk instead of cream.
