Rump Steak with Biltong Mustard Butter Recipe

Serve a perfect rump steak, restaurant style, topped with a melting disc of garlic, mustard and biltong butter.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 4 cloves of SPAR Freshline garlic
  • 125g of soft SPAR butter
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) SPAR mustard
  • ¼ cup (60ml) SPAR Freshline chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup (60g) of chopped Tender & Tasty biltong or biltong powder
  • 2 – 4 YOUR BUTCHER beef rump steaks

Recipe Method

  1. Wrap the garlic cloves in foil and roast for 15 mins in the oven.
  2. Squeeze out the cloves into the butter and add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Mix together and using clingwrap, shape into a cylinder and refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Braai the rump to your liking and serve topped with butter.
