Spiced Chai Tea Recipe

A creamy, spice infused tea bursting with Asian flavours. Serve with biscotti for a luxury mid-morning treat.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 bags black tea (any kind)
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cloves
  • 1 ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 5 tbsp sweetened
  • condensed milk
  • To serve
  • cinnamon sticks

Recipe Method

  1. Fill a pan with 5-6 cups water.
  2. Add the tea bags and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in the spices and turn the heat down to low.
  4. When you are ready to serve add 1 to 1½ tablespoons sweetened condensed milk to each cup.
  5. Pour in the hot tea and stir to dissolve the milk.
  6. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
